Packed with surprises – Good and Bad
The location is unbeatable! with stunning ocean views from big rooms and extremely friendly staff, making breakfasts delightful and offering a cozy beach experience.
Those 300 steep stairs can be daunting! The restaurant's dining speed varied greatly, and some amenities felt outdated and in need of repair.

We enjoyed a fantastic stay with our family, soaking up the easy-going vibe in Zihuatanejo. Our suite offered a stunning sea view, and we loved the relaxing pool area. The beach right below was perfect for lounging and playing with the kids.
My children wished there were more family-friendly activities offered.

Spectacular ocean views from large rooms create a stunning backdrop. The beach loungers and palapas provided great relaxation right on the beautiful shoreline. However, the room's assessability was hampered by broken loungers on the private patio and a lukewarm shower, which detracted from the experience. Despite these drawbacks, the friendly and hardworking staff added a welcoming touch to the stay.

We loved chilling on the beach, soaking up the sun with my grandchild. The ocean views were stunning, and the beach was perfect for building sandcastles. We even got to experience some local culture with a basketball game nearby, which was so much fun!
My wife says that the amenities felt a bit outdated.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, which was wonderful when traveling with little ones. The spacious room offered amazing views, and the included breakfast had plenty of options, which our children enjoyed.
While the family-friendly activities were somewhat limited, we still found plenty to do nearby.

Perfect beach vibes!
We stayed for 11 nights and loved the huge rooms with incredible views. The beach loungers right on La Ropa were awesome! The breakfast options were great, especially the fresh fruit. One bummer was the weak AC in our room, which made it tough to cool down after the hot beach. Overall, a fab spot to unwind!

The huge private patio with breathtaking ocean views was such a lovely surprise, and the breakfast spread every morning definitely set a great tone for the day. I enjoyed lounging by the pool and soaking up some sun on the beach with the comfy beach chairs available. One small hiccup was the Wi-Fi that could've been better, but overall, I truly enjoyed my stay! 🌊

missingWrote a review on 05 Maystunning viewsclean roomsfriendly staffservice delaysno acdated decor
The stairs here are intense—over 300 from beach to lobby! That’s a workout in itself. The views from anywhere in the hotel, especially the beach, are stunning. Room size impresses. I had a great ocean view room with a comfortable patio. No AC in some rooms, which is tricky for summer visits. Food was quite good. the tuna tacos and piña coladas stood out. Had a couple of slow service incidents during meals, where food arrived cold after long waits. Beach access is great, but the beach bar is a hike down those stairs. Staff were friendly and hardworking, creating a welcoming environment. Cleanliness was noticeable, especially in the rooms. I appreciate the unique charm, yet the hotel feels dated overall, and could really use serious renovations. Knowing the stair situation would influence my choice for a future stay—and maybe opt for a room with AC next time.

This place was a balanced option for a couple of nights in Zihuatanejo with good value. The bartender at the beach had great cocktails and kept us refreshed while we lounged in the sun. Climbing those stairs is a workout, so pace yourself!

Great location and friendly service
When I arrived there, the service was really good. The manager helped translate for the taxi driver since I know little Spanish and even called the wedding coordinator to ensure we arrived at the right place.
It wasn't cheap but was still reasonable for what you got.

The vibrant gardens surrounding the restaurant reminded me of a flourishing butterfly oasis, with hummingbirds flitting about, making this charming spot a delightful place to enjoy breakfast.
More shaded seating options near the beach would help.
